About
I have been studying art my whole life and the wine studies started about ten years ago. My art has evolved over the years and while you’ll find some jewelry and acrylic pour art in my collection, I finally found my passion in water marbling, also known as Ebru.
Ebru, originating in Turkey, is a centuries old art form that has only very recently been made available to the public. It is the art of laying thinned acrylic paints onto a bath of slightly thickened water. The beauty is that they never mix, they always stay separate leading to amazing patterns and sometimes pictures, depending on the artist.
My wine journey started at a winery in Paso Robles, California, where I was hired as a hostess. Within a few weeks I transferred into the tasting room and found my other passion. Within a few short years I had climbed to mid-level sommelier, earning my credentials through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. I love teaching people about the simplicity of tasting and breaking down the walls of what was once seen as a snooty, pinkies up experience. That’s all just silly, it’s just some old grape juice!
I can meet at wineries and taste, I can come to your home or office for tasting or lessons, or maybe a bridal shower or Jack-n-Jill party for some fun and tasty education.
